During her tenure at Jackson State, CJ served as a JSU Cheerleader and Tumbler for 3 years. Upon graduation, she commissioned as an officer in the United States Army through the JSU Army R.O.T.C. program. Since commissioned, CJ served the United States of America and retired at the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) with an Honorable
During her tenure at Jackson State, CJ served as a JSU Cheerleader and Tumbler for 3 years. Upon graduation, she commissioned as an officer in the United States Army through the JSU Army R.O.T.C. program. Since commissioned, CJ served the United States of America and retired at the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) with an Honorable Discharge at the rank of Major on 1 July 2022 as she answered the call of God to the purpose He created her for. CJ is a native of Oklahoma City, OK. CJ attended Eisenhower Senior High School in Lawton, Oklahoma and graduated with honors in the top 10% of her high school class. Upon completion of high school, CJ graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors from Jackson State University in Jackson, MS in Spring 2009 on a full 4-year Army ROTC Scholarship.

Desparate to know Christ through lifelong study of the Bible as God calls her to ministry, CJ is currently enrolled in Luther Rice Seminary & College (Lithonia, Georgia) in pursuit of an MDiv (Class 2027).

CJ is an inspirational blog writer, motivational speaker, singer, songwriter and inspirational recording artist who uses her gifts to uplift and encourage others in Christ while discussing systemic issues in the church and global controversy around the world. As a gifted vocalist, CJ has had the privilege of singing background for Dalin Collins (Kirk Franklin and Family) and the late LaShaun Pace (The Pace Sisters). She has also joined worship teams across the globe to include City Worship (City of Truth- Kansas City), the Shabach International Praise Team (Landstuhl, Germany) and Mosaic Worship (Clarksville, TN). CJ is a firm believer in Jesus Christ and her ultimate goal in life is to live to please God by carrying out His purpose for her life through spreading the Message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and by being a vessel that He can use to help others according to His plan for their life.

CJ and her good friend Mecca have been friends for 19 years. They began their friendship on the Jackson State University Tumblers & Cheerleading Squad and have been friends ever since! It is very rare that they miss each other's events. Mecca is an outstanding wife and mother of two - she resides in Jackson, MS.
ANGELS
Have you ever had angels that God sent to look out after you? Well, God sent these two women to look out after CJ during her journey in the military, and to this day, they still do. Pictured left is Shekura and pictured right is Pontress. CJ met them on her first deployment to Afghanistan in 2013. To date, they still check in on her.
ANIMAL FRENZY
CJ is a lover of animals and fascinated with God's creations. She has a deep respect for the living things He created.
