THE STORY BEHIND THE M.O.T.H.

STORY BEHIND THE M.O.T.H

While spending time in Aruba, we got the chance to spend some time at the Butterfly Farm where some of the world's most beautiful butterflies and moths reside. During our visit, Mackenzie and I were paid a visit by a moth that somehow found the courage to rest on his hat and shortly after, my hand. Graced with its presence, we took photo and video footage to help us be reminded of this once in a lifetime opportunity. Upon our return home to the states, as I continued to seek God for purpose as I have always done, He led me to begin my focus on "Matters of the Heart." He revealed to me that a lot of the issues people have begin in the heart. Their outsisde dysfunction is a reflection of their inside heart condition.  And there it was again, the M.O.T.H., as I broke out the acronym of "Matters of the Heart." Never have I ever been so clear about a purpose and a direction as I swiftly skimmed through our photos at the Butterfly Farm. While I thought at first it was a butterfly, I began to do research about the difference of moths and butterflies and found that moths rest with their wings open while butterflies rest with their wings closed and in an upright position. With a new intrigue for moths,  I found that it's purpose holds a much greater weight than that of the butterfly even though the butterfly gets all the glory. I also found that the moth is the producer of silk and it is attracted to the light as its eyes reflect the image of light 1000 times more in the quality of their sight imaging. While the butterflies may boast bright and beautiful colors, the moths' purpose holds a much greater weight.

1 Samuel 16:7

A man looks at the outside of a person, but God looks at the heart.
